Who we are

The Drayton Valley Community Foundation (DVCF) was established in 1994 by local people who believed in building a stronger future for Drayton Valley and Brazeau County. Still largely volunteer-run today, DVCF is powered by passionate community members dedicated to making life better where we live. Through community events like DV100, Street Parties, and the Ladies’ Gala, and through the generosity of donors, the Foundation has grown to steward over $13.5 million in endowed funds, including 90 funds and seven scholarships, and has granted more than $7 million back into our community.

The impact can be seen across the region, from $40,000 for the Pembina Nordic Ski Club, $75,000 to the Ricochet Aquatic Centre, $50,000 supporting the “This is Drayton Valley” campaign, and $125,000 toward the Town of Drayton Valley’s fire suppression trailer. At its heart, DVCF is simply a group of locals working together to support great ideas, strengthen organizations, and build a vibrant community for generations to come.
